Why use...
In school we are always told that technology should be a helping element in your work instead of a main tool. And I think it goes not only for computers, printers and all that high-tech stuff. It's the same for paper cutters, guilloutines, etc. Last semester I became dependent on those things. "Why use your hands if you have a knife that cuts everything for you?" The more things I do, the more I start to realize that I should learn to trust my hands even if there's something seemingly more reliable. The gilloutine helps a lot with books and large stacks of paper, but sometimes I caught myself cutting three sheets. Not good. And I also discovered that our fingers can fold just as well as a folding bone. If you use them properly, of course...
