Internal meetings are as important as client meetings

Today we were talking about the importance of one on one meetings with everyone. These meetings are a good training for the "real" meetings with the client. Therefore everything should look real. I know I talked about it, but I think it's a very important issue. There are a few things a client can imagine if you verbally explain: things like the thickness of paper or texture, but when it comes to graphic things such as lines and color, there can a be a problem. Since most clients are not graphic designers, the work we are presenting, even sketches, should be clear enough for them to understand without additional explanation. That will save the designer from unncessary questions.
In school, where we're surrounded by designers, it's easy to rely on their experience and allow yourself to explain some thing verbally. I used to catch myself explaining design ideas that should have been sketched on paper and not in my plans for the day. The bottom line is: now I will try to be more coscious of the simple details that are clear to me, but may seem more complicated to the viewer.
